How do You Know True Love?

“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There are many attributes we may be looking for in people especially those people we would like to have a relationship with. Loyalty, respect, honesty, faith and a desire to know us are some of the top vote getters. But, we being human often want to mold people to be what we want, not the best of who they can be. We want honesty to a point. We expect loyalty but may not give back to the very same person. We want them to be there for us even if we are not.

Paul gives a picture of what real love looks like! Detests evil and loves the truth can be a deal breaker for some of us who like our worldly ways. Always trusts, perseveres even in tough times when we are ready to throw in the towel.
Always hopes even when there appears to be no hope. Are we ready for such true love?

Though we in the natural we may struggle with such love.   Deep down we crave it for our lives. While we may not find such perfect love in the world, we can find it in Jesus. He is all Paul talked about, a true lover of our lives. We can obtain such a relationship with Jesus by exercising just what little faith we have, to gain such love and grace.

He came to seek and save the lost, ALL of us. The ball is in our court now. Gain such love and eternal grace or go the way of never not good enough!
