We all have certain things in our lives that when push comes to shove, we trust them to get the job done. It may be your God given talent, your work ethic, your career or our family. What I have found in life is that things in life change without us realizing the degree of change. Circumstances today are different than they were just a few years ago. What do we trust today when we find ourselves in a new and different season of life and yet we still encounter difficulties?
We need someone or something in our life that is consistent, someone who does not change even when our lives have changed. We need to heed the word this morning for there is only One who never changes, who is the same today as yesterday and the same tomorrow. He is the Lord. His love is forever, his power never diminishes, his wisdom is unlimited and his presence is eternal. He is the constant in our world and never changes.
While we watch the world change almost on a daily basis, God is the only source for our life that can be trusted, depended on to always be there for us. When we wake in the morning he is there to guide us through yet another day. No matter the issue, he can show us the answer, the way to resolution and grace. We may need to rethink to whom or what we have trusted our lives to? The Lord is truly the only One we can trust with not only our days here on earth but our eternity as well.
