In all creation, only mankind was created in the image of God. What a great privilege this is as we have many of God’s characteristics. We can think and reason like God. We are spiritual beings like God and will live forever in the spirit. We can also give and receive love. Our greatest strengths come from our ability to have compassion and service to others.
But one thing has been distorted in our makeup, sin. We now live under the curse of sin and until Jesus came for us, we were lost in a sinful world. Today know that God knows you. You are a chosen generation, a royal people bound to The Father by the blood of Christ. You are his children and he has a great love for each one of us.
We are made in the image of God! Through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus, we have been redeemed into a right relationship with our Father. What glorious days await those who are his! Take courage and hope in that you are no longer lost but found!
