“And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth! I believed in you, so I said, “I am deeply troubled, Lord.””
Psalms 116:9-10 NLT
These verses came from David in the Bible who felt lost and troubled. David shows his faith here but he also shows where his focus is. He states that he walks in the presence of the Lord and that he believes in God. Yet, he takes his frustrations to God because he knows two things: God will hear him and God will still love him!
There is a great statement made by writer who said, “you can trust the promises of God in the darkness that he gave you in the light.” Our focus must remain on our Lord and not our circumstances. Events come and go in our lives but God’s love for us is eternal. David knew that no matter his troubles, God would be there for him even when he felt under siege.
Our focus needs to be as was David’s, I will walk in the presence of the Lord all of my days and no matter the situation I will believe in my Father who loves me. There is only one who has the power and love for you that can deliver you from your afflictions. So regardless of your circumstances, walk with the Lord and believe in him for he is your salvation!
